The Homey dining table designed by GamFratesi aims to shine a renewed light on the value of the home and emphasize the centrality of its role in domestic settings that are increasingly attentive to sharing. This designer table is compact and graphic, characterised by light but volumetric lines, enriched by fine and expertly worked materials.

The quintessence of Homey is expressed in its die-cast aluminium legs. In a sculptural play reminiscent of haute couture, the two leg flaps fold and join together without touching, creating a chiaroscuro effect in the centre. A refined stylistic exercise that recalls the workmanship of leather, Poltrona Frau's material of choice. The lines of the two flaps open slightly at the top to transform into the shelf that supports it. The dining table is produced in four sizes in a rectangular and a square version, and supports wooden or marble tops. Homey introduces a more contemporary language of design for a warm and welcoming home, full of elegant and distinctive products.

About Designer
GamFratesi

Stine Gam, Danish architect with a master in furniture design. Enrico Fratesi Italian architect graduated with a master in industrial design. Gam and Fratesi gained experience as architects in architecture studio in Japan and Scandinavia before establishing their own design studio. The studio is based in Copenhagen. GamFratesi’s design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. With their dual traditional background, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach. Understanding a tradition and addressing it actively in the workshop makes it possible to expand on it. From this cross-cultural substrate they create furniture that respectfully reflects tradition while also featuring unique embedded stories, symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist idiom. GamFratesi have received significant awards including Finn Juhl Prize 2015, Elle Decoration International design award (EDIDA) as International Young Designer of the Year 2013, Wallpaper* Design Award as Best interior 2017, Best Designer 2015 by BoBedre, Best Designer 2009 by RUM, Invited as Guest of Honor at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2014. With their products GamFratesi received final selection CompassoD’Oro, IF Award, German Design Awards and Good Design Awards.
